<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Over the past two months, I have been using Nutrisystem to help me achieve my weight loss goal. So, I decided to sign-up for the <em>Uniquely Yours Max 7 Day Plan: Women, I’ll Pick Meals, Metabolism</em> and officially started the program on May 12, 2021. By July 17, I had lost about 8 Lbs., which for perfect for me.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong><u>Here’s what I have learned so far:</u></strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>The first week is the hardest-</strong> I honestly felt like I would die the first week. I had a headache almost every day, especially as I got closer to dinner time. The snacks in between meals were super helpful, and adding more vegetables to meals helped me feel like I was eating more, but my body was craving carbs and sweets.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Portion size matters-</strong> In any diet regime, you must control your food intake. Through this program, I have eaten smaller portions throughout the day while still feeling full.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Veggies, Veggies, Veggies</strong>&#8211; Vegetables have become my best friend. I have always loved eating vegetables, but I have incorporated a lot more into my diet through this program, and my body is loving it.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Water</strong>&#8211; I have tried to drink as much water as I can throughout the day. This program asks for a minimum of 64oz of water/fluid. Each morning, I fill up a gallon of water ¾ and drink it throughout the day. Most days, I can get through all of it. However, some days, I am only able to do the 64oz of fluid. The more water I drink, the more I can recognize when my body is dehydrated, especially during the summer months.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Eating pattern/frequency is essential</strong>&#8211; I live a busy lifestyle, and meal prep has always taken the backseat. However, having the meals handy have been helpful to ensure that I eat regularly. My family members have noticed and commented that I have been eating more through this program. Also, before, I did not have a set timeframe for eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Some days I would skip breakfast. Other days, I would work through lunch and eat a large dinner which was not helpful for me. I did not realize the message of starvation and the need to preserve fats that I was sending my body.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I still have a long way to go to achieve my weight loss goal, but I am thankful I decided to start this program. I have some concerns about the amount of processed food I am eating, but according to Nutrisystem, most of the food does not require artificial preservatives and flavors. The additives they use are deemed safe by the Food and Drug Administrations.  ;I am not sure how long I will continue to follow through, but for now, I am all in.</p>
